Solarsystem Simulation
A downloadable simulation for Windows
Most of the simulations of our solar system show us planets that are stably orbiting the sun. But they are actually not in a stable orbit. This simulation takes you into space so you can watch our planets move around you.
Simulate their movement and manipulate them at your will or just create your own solar systems. (Coming soon™)
The simulation features our solarsystem with all eight planets orbiting around the sun beginning on January 1st 2022 and a few other and interesting systems for you to explore :) .
THIS IS A KINDA-STILL-WORK-IN-PROGRESS so here are some important things:
- The settings-menue is not yet available... (will take you back to the main menu)
- there are a few camera settings. A few give you the oportunity to chage the view direction by moving your mouse or even move around with WASD, SPACE and SHIFT. You can enter this camera-controll by right-clicking
- You can mute the music with 'M'
- Plot the movement by clicking 'O'
- ESC opens a paused menue
- ESC is your friend
- Have Fun
- and Enjoy
- AND perhaps you should spam the 'j'-key sometime when you get bored
If you wanna go overkill mute the ingame sound and listen to the "Interstellar" Soundtrack ;)

Wow this is really cool. Have you tried adding stars in the background? I think something like simple white dots will add a lot to it.
I actually did a while ago (around two years by now :D)
BUT now I just got an idea how to do it. Will try to implement it soon™
just updated it. Now you are able to enjoy the simulation with some optional stars in the background :)
And if you pay attention you can even see them sparkle...
Woah nice! The stars really bring it all to life! and it's not just randomly scattered around but has a formation too. I thought the stars were moving but that might just be my eyes playing tricks on me :P
Thanks :)
And they are not moving just changing their brightness over time...
